2. Install and Activate the Plugin

You can upload the .zip file of Paid Memberships Pro via the Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin screen.

Or, upload the unzipped ‘paid-memberships-pro‘ plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder of your site’s web hosting environment.

Once the plugin is installed in your WordPress site:

Navigate to the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin.
Locate “Paid Memberships Pro” in the list of plugins.
Click “Activate” to activate the plugin.

Fixing File Size Limit Errors When Uploading the PMPro Plugin

Some hosts restrict the maximum file size for uploads, which may prevent the Paid Memberships Pro plugin ZIP file from being uploaded.

To resolve this, you have a couple of options:

1. Contact Your Hosting Provider: Your host can increase the post_max_size and upload_max_filesize limits for you.

2. Upload via SFTP: You can manually upload the plugin files to your site using an SFTP client. To do this:

Extract the PMPro ZIP file on your computer.
Use an SFTP client (like FileZilla) to connect to your site.
Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and upload the paid-memberships-pro folder.
Once uploaded, navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins in the WordPress admin and activate Paid Memberships Pro.
