This section demonstrates the various design and page layout options available for your content.

Featured Images and Banner Images allow you to set graphics that represent your content. The images are used in specific places depending on the configuration of your Memberlite Options.

Each page or post allows you to specify a Featured Image. This is the image that will be used when your posts/pages are shared socially, as well as throughout your site depending on settings.

  • The Featured Image can be displayed in the archive and search view of your posts. This is a setting under Appearance > Customize > Memberlite Options > Featured Images on Index/Archives.
  • The Featured Image is the graphic used in the [memberlite_subpagelist] output.
  • The Featured Image is the graphic used in the [memberlite_recent_posts] output.

Banner Images

Memberlite allows you to upload and assign a graphic that will be used as the masthead background on the single post/page.

Banner Images can also be displayed in the archive and search view of your posts. This is a setting under Appearance > Customize > Memberlite Options > Featured Images on Index/Archives.

Page Mastheads and Banners

Each page has several options for customizing the masthead or top banner area within the “Memberlite Settings” meta box. Below is some documentation on the areas that can be customized.

How to Manage the Masthead Banner

  1. Navigate to the Pages > Edit Page (or Add New) in the WordPress admin.
  2. Below the main editor box, there is a metabox titled “Memberlite Settings”.
  3. Locate the “Page Banner Settings” area. Settings include:
    • Show Page Banner: Optionally disable the entire page banner for this content.
    • Banner Description: Add content to be displayed in the masthead banner below the page title.
    • Hide Page Title on Single View: Optionally hide the page title output within the masthead banner.
    • Hide Breadcrumbs: Optionally hide the breadcrumbs for this individual page within the masthead banner.
    • Add Extra Banner Padding: Optionally add more padding within the masthead banner.
    • Banner Right Column: Add content to be displayed in the right side of the masthead banner (i.e., Video Embed, Image or Action Button). This area will reflect the same width as your main content to sidebar ratio.
    • Page Icon: Select an icon from the dropdown list to identify this page. The icon can be optionally displayed on the page’s masthead banner or will be used in the shortcode attribute when thumbnail="icon".
  4. To save your settings, click “Update”, “Publish” or “Save Draft” (depending on the page you are editing).

The Masthead Banner spans the entire page width, so if you would like to show content in columns, use the and shortcodes.
